Oreo Cake Cheesecake: A Decadent Dessert Recipe
This Oreo cake cheesecake is a delightful combination of rich chocolate cake batter and creamy Oreo cheesecake batter swirled together, creating a heavenly dessert experience. Topped with luscious Oreo whipped cream, it’s the ultimate treat for Oreo lovers!

This recipe draws inspiration from my chocolate cake peanut butter cheesecake. As a huge fan of Oreo desserts, I wanted to create a unique dessert featuring an Oreo cheesecake layer. The result? A perfect balance of chocolate cake and Oreo cheesecake, ensuring every bite is a delightful surprise!

Essential Tips for Making the Perfect Oreo Cake Cheesecake
Follow these helpful tips to ensure your Oreo Cake Cheesecake turns out perfectly every time!
- Tip 1: Precise Flour Measurement: When measuring flour for the chocolate cake, always spoon the flour into your measuring cup and level it off. Avoid scooping the flour directly with the measuring cup, as this can compact the flour and result in using too much, leading to a dry cake. The same applies to cocoa powder.
- Tip 2: Double the Oreo Goodness: The Oreo cheesecake batter contains both Oreo pieces and Oreo crumbs. This ensures that you get maximum Oreo flavor in every single bite!
- Tip 3: Choosing the Right Springform Pan: Use a high-quality 9-inch springform pan. The chocolate cake batter is quite runny, so a cheap pan might leak. A well-made pan should prevent any leakage.
- Tip 4: Layering Like a Pro: When layering the batters, start with a layer of chocolate cake batter as the base. Then, alternate layers of chocolate cake and Oreo cheesecake batter, ending with a layer of chocolate cake batter on top. Spread the final cake batter layer evenly for a smooth finish.
- Tip 5: Embrace the Cracks: As the chocolate cake rises during baking, it may push past the cheesecake batter, resulting in cracks on the surface. Additionally, the cheesecake batter, being denser, might sink slightly in the middle as it cools. Don’t worry; this is completely normal! We’ll cover it up beautifully with the Oreo whipped cream. It will have a similar look to Basque cheesecake. Trust the process!
